NO DERRUMBES
LA IGLESIA
We are a resident-led movement that gives the people of Brickell a direct voice in the decisions shaping their neighborhood.
We want Brickell to grow. We also believe the people who live here should have a say in how that happens. Progress and preservation are not opposites.
What we care about:
-
The historic places that tell the story of where Miami came from
-
The parks and open spaces that give the neighborhood room to breathe
-
Streets and infrastructure that can carry what is being built
-
The schools and institutions that anchor the community
-
A fair, open process where the people most directly affected are heard on the record
BREAKING
Court Sets Aside City Approvals at First Miami Presbyterian
On July 16, 2026, an appellate court quashed the City of Miami's approval of an application to remove the church's educational building and parking lot from historic protection.
The Court also quashed the City's refusal to let the neighboring community take part in that decision.
The matter now returns to the City.

What We're Working On:
First Miami Presbyterian Church, 609 Brickell Avenue
The City approved removing historic protection from the church's School Annex and parking lot without allowing the neighboring community to participate.
On July 16, 2026, an appellate court set those approvals aside. The matter has returned to the City, where the neighboring community now has the right to be heard.
